Eirian has been a teacher for over 14 years. Trained as a Language Arts specialist, she has also worked as a literacy coordinator for one of the primary schools in the Leicester City L.A and as such understands how vitally important it is to inspire a love of both reading and writing in children of all ages. When not busy writing, Eirian runs writers' workshops for her local schools, and those across the East Midlands area of the UK, offering full day, half day (am) and half day (pm) sessions. She holds Qualified Teacher Status, and is CRB checked* |

![]() Full Day WorkshopFull day workshops incude three workshop sessions; two of one hour duration in the morning and one two hour session in the afteroon. Also included is a 30 minute writer Q&A which can be class or assembly based. Workshop session begins with strategies for planning and how to develop story plans in fun and innovative ways. (Focus AF1-3 & AF7) The second workshop session looks at putting plans to good use and the importance of openings and links between the different parts of a story. (Focus 3-5 & 7) The afternoon session - divided into managable chunks - consists of writing and sharing opportunities, and also explores the difficult concept of editing and revision. We also explore the concept of gathering ideas and the roles and responsibility given to us when writing for the future |
